Single Panel Sliding doors- Must have a latch installed above 54” and they must self-close. For this, you will need a closer and latch system. Our closer and latch system comes in two heights, 6’ or 8’. Measure the height of your door to see which one you will need.
Multi-panel Sliders (more than one panel moves)- No city likes a multi-panel slider. They want one moving panel to be equipped with a closer and latch, and the other’s that move must be rendered stationary. Check your city to see their specifics requirements for how to lock or pin down the other panels.
Hinged Doors- Must swing away from the pool and they must have a high doorknob above 54” and self-closing hinges. *Hint- if your door lock is above 54” you can just swap the doorknob and dead bolt and add our self-closing hinges. If your lock is too low, you can add an additional doorknob above 54” and this will pass
Dog doors- Most cities do not want them operable. Check your city to find out
Windows- Need latches above 54” otherwise, you can add a window lock. Some cities will require alarms. Check with your city
Regular Side Yard Gates- Need to self-close. You can purchase a gate spring for this
RV Gates- Most cities will let you padlock these. You can purchase a padlock at any general hardware store. Make sure to check with your city
